WOYWW 157

Hello again everyone on our weekly nosey fest. Hop over to Julia’s blog (see link in my sidebar) to see what it’s all about and to join in the fun.

First of all, sorry to be so useless last week at visiting anyone – I didn’t think I’d manage much because I’ve had a bad week health wise and decided not to do anything but just to rest. I’m starting to feel better now, and hopefully now the weather’s cooled off a bit too, things will improve again.

I’ve been busy watching all the wonderful Jubilee celebrations on TV and my hubby has been off on his own to all the village stuff – I couldn’t cope with that, I’m afraid.

This week I’ve been working in Inkscape on some new stencils for my mixed media art, and have cut some with Sheba, my Black Cat Cougar cutting machine. I’ve also been experimenting with my new Inktense pencils and have done my first zentangle art pieces with added colour, which is exciting. I’ll be doing separate posts about both these things but I’ve put them on the desk so you can see what I’m up to at the moment.

Sorry not to be involved with the ATC swap, but I look forward to seeing everyone else’s efforts!

Happy WOYWW everyone, and thanks again, Julia, for organising it.

  7. I'm not linking up this week as my desk looks exactly the same as it did last week - I blame the Jubilee celebrations! - but I thought I'd pop by anyway - I love a good nose about! I just LOVE the fan - what a beautiful image and the colours are so vibrant - I must look out for those Inktense pencils - the results look very impressive. Glad you are feeling a bit better, and I look forward to seeing your next posts about these beautiful pieces.

  13. Rest is the key dear gal, and there's no need to apologise for not being part of the swap - you're a big part of WOYWW anyway, and that's as we want it. HAve tried to catch up - oh my, those pencils are lovely in your hands..your zentangles are a far cry from doodles arent they!

  15. I love your colored in Zentangles. I like how folks are stepping Zentangles up some... from just doodles to things with doodles in them, and now with color! I read your stencil post. I think the loose gears and stuff will be fun to play with, but yep the sheet they came out of, not too useful. That is neat to make your own stencils. I'm glad you found a thicker plastic. I bought some thicker acetate from the paper store once (Kelly's Paper, more office supply but they have great things for crafters too). They called it Report Covers, so it must be basically what you have!
