Through WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), the weekly blog hop I take part in, I have discovered the work of a wonderful mixed media artist called Diana Taylor. Her blog is called Velvet Moth Studio. (She appears to have been on WOYWW for a while, and I am sorry that I’ve missed her up till now – there are now so many people taking part in the blog hop that it’s pretty well impossible to visit every single one.) I have just spent ages exploring back through her posts and am feeling quite overwhelmed by the talent of this lady, and the beauty of her work, and her intriguing way of looking at things, and her way of finding beauty in the most unlikely places. Her use of materials is amazing.
I won’t spoil the fun by posting any of her pictures here but I do recommend that you hop over right away and have a good look round, as I have done. You won’t be disappointed! She is a real inspiration.
She has a small following on her blog, and not many people leave comments. I think this is a great shame. This blog is a gem which is obviously being overlooked! I have just signed up to follow her, and I encourage you to do so, too. Do leave some comments, and tell her you found her through my blog!!
Hi Shoshi
ReplyDeleteI woke up this morning and found your lovely kind comments and blog post about my work and it has really made my day! Thank you so much for taking the time to browse through my ramblings and post about them - I really do very much appreciate it.
I have just read your article about ME and found it very interesting - I have a very good friend with ME and it is a horrible and debilitating illness, also there is a lot of ignorance out there about it. I hope your succinct and informative article will help develop a wider understanding.
