I know we always say it, but I can’t believe another Wednesday has come around so quickly! Time to nose around each other’s work desks again – for the uninitiated, hop over to Julia’s blog to see how to join in the fun (see the WOYWW link in my sidebar).

Here’s my desk for today.

I had thought I would have had a bit more knitting to show you this week, but in my usual foggy-brained way, I have made so many mistakes and had to redo them, so the state of play this week is that I’ve almost finished the bottom border of the back. Only a few more rows of pattern and then it’s the long haul, knitting plain colour up to the armholes. At least that won’t tax my brain quite so much!

Also, over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been experimenting with leaf printing. This is an idea I got from my friend Ryn (she’s the one who designs those gorgeous stamps, including the water droplets one) – I have not been quite as successful as she was, with my first attempt – it’s all got a bit spotty (mould?! Lol!) but I shall try again with some different kinds of leaves.

Finally, I have started another page in my Art Journal, this time for Remembrance (it is Remembrance Sunday next week). There’s still quite a bit to do on this page but it’s coming on quite nicely, and I’ll be posting about it when it’s finished.

I’ve been busy scanning photos most of this week, and have now emptied a box, so I’ve now got a bit of room for my feet under my desk! Woohoo!

This one was taken in 1956. I’m the one on the right, aged 3, with my big sister. My mum made our little dresses, and did all the smocking.
