WOYWW 191

A combination of exhaustion after the craft show, various family commitments, social engagements, and working on my blog posts post-show and about my new wheelchair spoke guards, I haven’t got a proper WOYWW post for you today. My desk, and my ARTHaven in general, are full of Really Useful Boxes and other stuff I got at the show, still waiting to be sorted out, and there’s nothing constructive or interesting on my desk.

However… given the interest expressed in my spoke guard project, I thought I would show you the end result, and direct you to the post about it. Making the videos took a considerable amount of time and effort, because I was using a different camera, and a tripod instead of my video rig, and I had problems with the lighting, but the result is more or less acceptable, I think.

Happy WOYWW everybody, and I’m sorry for my lack of visits to everyone’s desks, but life has got in the way a bit recently!

  4. Hi there Shoshi.
Your spoke guards certainly caused comments - they're great.
It was so good to meet up at the show - the red rose in the mouth was just brilliant!! Poor folk on the stall - I thought they might just pass out! I hope you haven't suffered TOOooooo many nasty after effects from your day out. We had a tremendous day, did lethal damage to the credit card - but there again, that's what it is for. Thank hubby for bringing you up in order tht we could meet up. We managed to get home safely on Friday, before the blizzard closed the M6.

  5. that looks awesome, you must get sttrangers coming up to you and asking about it! Were you selling at your show or shopping? Hey, I made flexible molds from Sculpey bake and bend clay and they are great, I did a video today, it is way cheaper than the ranger molding compound and it is not cured till you cook it so you don't have to stress out to use all you mixed, you will like it! You might have other brands in the UK but any "flex" type of polymer clay should work, it costs about $1 USD an ounce here, so way cheaper than the ranger 2 part stuff:)

  7. You have done an amazing job on your wheelchair I am sure people will be stopping you all the time to look at your art work and to talk to you about it. Well done on getting the vedio done I can only imagine how tricky that was.
Being disabled myself I know that sometimes for us things seem twice as hard as those who are able bodied. Big Congrats from me

  15. What an awesome way to decorate your chair and make it unique. I can definitely say - I've never seen a wheelchair that could also be a work of art. Kudos to you. :-)
