My minimalist old ARTHaven!

I’m writing this on Tuesday evening. Today all my black office furniture, including the big black desk that also served as my art workdesk, went over to the new house, courtesy of a friend and his son, and their huuuuge van. Everything disappeared into the van leaving lots more space, and he said “anything else to go over?” so we filled the whole van with lots of other stuff as well!
This is the office section of my new ARTHaven. The room is subdivided, providing what the agents’ particulars referred to as a dressing room – this will be my office, so the black desk will be back to its original single function again – a desk!
My large black storage unit (now reduced to a single section, the other two having been given away) is also over at the new house, ready to be reassembled and put on the other side of the office wall, in the free-standing storage area.
Again (becoming a regular for me!) not strictly a “What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday” post but we’re getting closer to the time when I really will have something creative on my workdesk. Meantime, bear with me as I share the long road towards that goal!
(In case you’re not sure what this is all about, click on the WOYWW logo in my sidebar, which will take you to our hostess Julia’s blog, where all will be revealed.)
Well, Shoshi, you have a mighty tidy desk this week. No clutter there.Probably no dust either as it blew away on the journey to the new house.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness your fingers must be itching to make something.
I get CRANKY when I can't make things!!

Well, Shoshi, keep telling yourself it will all be worth it - REALLY it will. Hope and pray the final move goes well, and that you can soon get some crafting done again. Glad to see the Arthaven coming along. Just had a look at the previous post- I worked all my dimensions out before I moved into my new room, definitely a better plan than getting it in there and moving it round after! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz xx #22
ReplyDeleteI envy each person who has an own craftroom - and yours will be great. Suzanne

Wow you have a lot going on. But at least it looks nice and clean at the moment. I hate the thought of moving. Been here 13 years and have collected to much stuff to move I told my Hubby. lol Thanks so much for the share and the comment. Have a great day.

wow, that space looks HUUUUUUGE. Will you get stuck in and sort it or are there other priorities?
ReplyDeleteHi again, Shoshi. Yes, John decided not to be outdone - my putting his work on our site wasn't sufficient - so he got his own!!! yes, he really is good - he has, over the years done scraperboard, glass engraving, oil painting, etc. we have taught classes - usually through the church, had folk in our home doing craft stuff....you name it!
ReplyDeleteSee you late Sep early Oct.

It's all coming along nicely. I've just been back on the progress since my last visit and just had to go and have another laugh at the hilarious bath goings on. You will all have a great house and some wonderful new friends too I'm sure. I think those guys will move in with you!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and I look forward to seeing this weeks progression.
