WOYWW 301

Sorry folks – this is getting a bit boring – yet another week with no photo of Shoshi’s desk because Shoshi’s desk remains unchanged – nothing on it! Mr. Mojo and Mrs. Muse are still on their extended break and expected not to return till my convalescence is well under way. What a bore.

My surgery (rescheduled) is a week today… I am trying not to dwell on the awful aspects of it too much until nearer the time – I’ve managed to be good all this week, and rest and relax and prepare, without worrying too much, but as the day approaches, I am getting the familiar feelings I had the first time round, before my admission was aborted at the last moment. We’ve had a nice relaxing week with some spoilies.

Thank you everyone for your continuing good wishes, kind thoughts, kind words and above all prayers – and to those of you who have sent cards and gifts – a very special thank you! You are all so kind and I do feel uplifted by all this tremendous good will.

In the absence of a desk photo, here’s another kitty one for you to enjoy.

Beatrice Cuddling with Daddy 1 16-08-12

Beatrice cuddling with Daddy. I tell you, those two are joined at the heart! Hard for Shoshi to get a look in sometimes.

Happy WOYWW everyone, and I’ll try and post next Tuesday evening before I pack up my laptop ready for hospital.

  4. Hello Shoshi - never boring. So glad you have managed some rest and relaxation - just what the doctor ordered! It's no surprise you are not crafting or that you are starting to worry as it draws closer. Not easy to relax but try. You are always in my prayers. Love the photo of Beatrice and 'Daddy' :-) Anne x #32

  6. Thinking of you and praying for a smooth surgery! The anticipation is so hard--it's like you have to be in the thinking-of-today-only mindset. Wishing you happiness, peace, bliss and joy today. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #48

  7. Nothing much has changed on my desk either, but that doesn't stop me from putting a photo of it up week after week. LOL! I like the cuddly kitty photo. Who says dudes don't like cats?!!! (My hubby says that but you often catch him in a similar pose with Charles).

  10. Oh this photo is heart warming, Soshi. So nice!
I hate waiting too. My grandma, who experienced terrible things in two world wars, taught me when things get rough just think that this situation will be over sometimes. So when I feel I can't bear it anymore, I only think it will be over for sure sometime and imagine what nice things I would do then. It helps!

  13. Love this photo. It reminds me of my own Dad!

Also loved this from your sidebar:

    "Today's Verse:
...it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"

  14. Glad you are able to relax and enjoy your week, just try to focus on the moment and put next week out of your mind if you can. You can't affect anything by worrying except your mood now ! Hope you can push it all to a dusty little corner of your mind & enjoy the little things each day! Sending you a hug and will be thinking about you in my prayers this coming week Love Ali #72

  17. Hey Shoshi, what a sweet picture! So sorry your surgery was cancelled - I know how awful that feels as it happened to me last week, but I was lucky enough to be resceduled within a couple of days so it's all over now and I'm well into recovery. I hope that your surgery will be behind you by this time next week and wish you a smooth and speedy recovery. Happy WOYWW and sorry to be late :o) Annie C #76

  18. I am sure you are pleased that whilst you are in hospital you know that Beatrice and hubby will be sharing cuddles whilst missing you.
Good luck for next Wednesday - guess there will be lots of prayers from WOYWW'ers that day so you can rest assured it will all go well.

  19. Aw, that is a lovely picture! No doubt you're trying to keep busy and distracted...it's kind of getting to the point where you need to get t over with now for the sake of your sanity really, poor you it won't be long.
Read your Chinese meal post...there's a restaurant we visit in spain where the waiter brings the duck and then makes the pancake rolls up for you..all with dexterity and chopsticks...fabulous sight, but a little slow!!

  20. Hi Shoshi, I tried to leave a comment earlier but got time out for some reason so here goes again. Lovely photo of your husband and Beatrice - the expression on her face is priceless. Not a bit surprised your mojo has gone missing ... now's the time to take it easy. There will be plenty time to do stuff after your op. Take care and have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Elizabeth x #56

  21. That's an awesome picture of Beatrice with Daddy. I'm sorry to hear about stressing over your upcoming surgery, but pray that the Lord will give you the peace that can only be found in Him before, during and after the surgery. The artsy mojo will come in time, my friend!

  23. HI, Shoshi, at least they have given you a new date - let's hope there are no changes and it goes ahead this time, all this getting yourself psyched up for it can't help! We'll all be thinking of you. Helen 3

  24. Hi Shoshi, I can't believe I missed this week's WOYWW too! I just didn't have the time and energy to put a blog post together, or visit other blogs for that matter. That is such a lovely photo indeed! Pets can have a therapeutic effect on the human psyche. Have lots of cuddles with yours! Best of luck for the 18th! xx

  25. What a lovely photo of Beatrice and your hubby.
This waiting game is awful but I hope you can make the most of it and have lots of spoilies etc. I've been praying for peace for you. (The peace that passes all understanding).
I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday and I hope it will all go ahead as scheduled. No more nasty surprises.
Sorry I'm so late with this but the house we were staying in in Italy didn't have internet. My son does, but we were not able to go to his house as the village was/probably still is completely snowed in. Wednesday morning I went to a coffee bar that had wifi and posted my little WOYWW contribution.
I'm now back home and catching up on stuff, downloading (baby) photos and keeping the washing machine going.
    Thinking of you,
    Lisca
