Well, here we are again on Wednesday, celebrating the world’s biggest and best nosey fest! Hop over to Julia’s blog (see WOYWW link in my sidebar) to find out what it’s all about. Thank you Julia, for organising us yet again and giving us our weekly fix.
Not a great deal going on Chez Shoshi but after being out of action for one reason and another recently, I’m really behind with the ATC swap. I’ve finished the actual ATCs now and I just wanted to make some little tags to go in with them, and this is what’s going on on my desk.
I have stamped with Versamark onto black card, using one of my favourite stamps from the Stamp Attack JoZart Design – just wondering – is this our own JoZart? I hadn’t made the connection! – fan set. I then brushed over the stamped image with dry Perfect Pearls (mica powder) in different colours, brushed away the excess, and then spritzed with water to fix (the mica powders have a binding agent in them which is activated by water). After that, it was a simple case of cutting them out, stamping on the back and adding some embellishments.
I’ve been decorating some envelopes and hope to have the ATCs all parcelled up ready for my hubby to post, so hopefully you won’t have to wait too much longer to receive them!
If anyone else still wants to swap with me, I’ve got a few spares, and would be very happy to swap with you. Just email me your details and we’ll take it from there.
Happy WOYWW, everyone, and thank you for all your lovely comments last week when I was so poorly. I’m definitely feeling better now but having alternate bad days, which is a lot better than unremitting bad days, day in, day out! At least I feel as if I can focus my brain a bit better now lol!
Happy 4th July to all our US friends across the Pond.
Morning Shoshi! I'll be getting up soon if I don't go to bed! Your tags and what I can see of your ATC I know will be fabulous! Glad you're feeling a little bit better.Have a really fabulous crafty week!

ReplyDeleteHello there, glad to hear you are having more good days than bad. Love the ATCs and don't feel behind, even those of us without your affliction get behind and I am seriously behind on a lot of stuff and should not be surfing the net, but it is much more fun than dealing with real life! Know what I mean?
ReplyDeleteYour ATCs are beautiful, just like your work in general. As I don't make ATCs, I will leave them for you to swap with others that do :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're picking up a bit, hope it continues...

Hello Shoshi. Sorry to hear you have had some setbacks. Your work is always a dream to view. In fact my Grandson of 12 is now Zentangling thanks to your blog. He really needs to get the proper pens though. Hope you have a better day. Hugs Rita xxx
ReplyDeleteI can answer your query - yes, it is the same Jo - she's a good friend of mine and I am missing her at the moment as she is away. Not to worry, nice to see you are working with those fans and enjoying yourself by the look of things. Hope you have a good few days healthwise so you can get on with them but don't do too much.
ReplyDeleteHugs and thanks for visiting me - Neet #3 xx

Your ATC's are fab. Sorry you've been feeling unwell and hope the feeling better continues. Happy WOYWW Anne x
ReplyDeleteThe binding agent is gum arabic which can be added to non Perfect Pearl brands, you can get it in liquid or powder form from cake decorators...of coirse!! Of course you'd go to the trouble of making the ATC and then making a tag!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are feeling a little better. Yes, those fans are our very own Jozarty's. I have them too. She very kindly sent me the set a few years ago when I won some blog candy from her. I love what you are doing with them.
ReplyDeleteI'd be more than happy to swap ATC's with you. An e-mail is on it's way.
Happy WOYWW

Beautiful tags with the mica powder, Shoshi! So glad to hear you are feeling better and having a few good days. Thanks for coming by to visit me! See you next week! Darnell #35
ReplyDeleteHi Shoshi - thanks for stopping by my blog! Love your ATCs - I would swap but I'm out of them now! LOL...
ReplyDeleteHad a quick look through your last post and your next post as well - fab haul of stash, but considered purchases rather than just a spending spree I would say! You've definitely thought about what you want and why you want it. Also loving your artwork - the picture of Necklace 2 makes me want to go away and make it. Something else to add to my list of want to dos....
Keep well!
Love your ATC's and tags, that mica powder sure looks pretty.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you were ill, I didn't post last week, had a cold and it's school holidays. Glad you are feeling better now. Thanks for visiting me, I only got to a few, have to play with my little one and my mother in-law is staying with us for the holidays.
Have a great week.

Hi Shoshi, I'm just blown away with your zentangle artwork - it's absolutely stunning. I don't think there are too many JoZart's around so I suspect it is our very own Jo too. Like the effect you've got with mica powder on black. Hope you had a great weekend that Monday hasn't been too shabby either :) Elizabeth x #85
