WOYWW 162

Well, here we are again, another Wednesday, and another opportunity for the nosiest people on the net to explore each other’s work desks and see how messy we all are! To find out more, click on the WOYWW link in my sidebar, which will take you to our lovely Julia’s blog – she hosts us and tries to keep us all in order week by week.

Nothing new or radical on my desk this week – just ongoing stuff I’ve already posted about.

On the left is the box containing my now complete set of Perfect Pearls (still a few more colours to come but enough to be going on with for now), on top of which is my finished palette. After cleaning off the spills with a wet cotton bud and kitchen paper, it looks a lot better. Most of the sections are now dry but I think I’ll put it in the airing cupboard for a bit longer to make sure.

The rest of the table is taken up with ATC stuff – a small pack with finished drawings and tags on top, with some backs ready to be stuck on. Tissue paper and bubble wrap to wrap them, and envelopes to send them off, and also my zentangle journal at the bottom, with the step-by-step instructions for my favourite patterns.

Hanging from my video rig are some short lengths of ribbon after I’d ironed the creases out. Some of these will be used for parcelling up the ATCs.

On the subject of the ATC swap, I still have a few to send out, and I’m awaiting addresses from various people, so if you still haven’t sent me your address, please do so, so I can send them out to you.

Once the swap is complete as far as I am concerned, I will do a blog post showing all the absolutely gorgeous ones I’ve received – and more besides!! I can’t wait to share them all with you.

Shoshi’s Blog Shop

I have got permission from Julia to publicise my new shop (thanks Julia!), which you can find by clicking on the new tab along the top of my blog – I’ve now learnt how to do pages – to start with, I am just offering zentangle art in the form of cards, coasters and prints, and if anyone would like to buy anything, you can see details there. As time goes on, I am intending to offer some more of my art pieces for sale as well, so watch this space.

Have a great week, everyone, and happy WOYWW.

  3. Ah Shoshi, let me tell you girl, it's tough at the top of the list, you'll get trampled to death soon as blink! I think there are nano-seconds separating the top 10 names, luck of the draw really! I like how you've used the palette for the Perfect Pearls, I've never used them before but always wanted to give them a go. Good luck with the shop, much better than sitting in a draughty old venue that makes you sick for a week!

    Hugs

  14. Good luck with the shop, Shoshi - it's definitely an easier way of getting your items sold than at a craft fair...but I enjoy the interaction with the public most. Clever use of the Perfect pearls palette as well there!

PS I'm typing this ahead of our Postie arriving, so thank you in anticipation for the ATC!

  22. Hiya Shoshi - as one who received an ATC from you, I headed straight to the shop! Fabulous! Zentangle is probably something I'll never do (mostly because I don't understand how it's done and I can't draw a straight line with a ruler... *ahem*) BUT I love it! Best of luck with the shop, sweets.

    Cheers,
Susan, who hasn't WOYWW'd yet because she just woke up... . ;)

  23. I think I have ONE perfect pearl, one day I will have more! well, you have to start somewhere, and it's purple! Love your fabulous art work in your new pages. Don't forget to put on the comments, they don't come on unless you click them on Pages, took me months to realise that! Good luck with your shop! Thundering and Lightening here! So whizzing round quickly! Might Have to shut down!! Have a great week! Happy WOYWW

  25. Oh, another one making colour swatches and organizing her equipment!
That’s an amazing collection of Perfect Pearls you have there, it must be nearly all the colours. I have a couple of sets but never think to use them very often so I must try harder and give them a go.

    Happy Crafting!

  27. Good luck with your shop! You are a master of the zentangle art so I am sure you will do well. Have fun with your Perfect Pearls. I have a few and haven't done anything with them in a coon's age. No one seemed to mention them either, but in the last couple of weeks it suddenly seems that Perfect Pearls are the rage again. I love it how things are cyclical.

I love your background btw. My Hubby is a bee keeper but due to his accident he is training me up to do some of the work for him! He says if we get the other hive up and running it will be mine! I rather keep to my chickens.

    1. Lovely busy looking desk and I love the pallettes idea. Thanks for your comment on my blog - you really shouldn't tempt me cos I would loooooove an electronic die-cutting machine... but I think DH might have a minor heart attack at the cost and tbh, until I tidy and rearrange my craft room (again!) I really haven't got room for one!

P.S. Get playing with those Dylusions inks - I love them! Fantastic vibrant colours and great fun to play with. :)
